Last night was Fashion’s Night Out in Florida so me and the besties hit the town to celebrate. Things are a bit more casual in this town so I kept to the basics wearing this amazing Max Azria leather skirt that was originally $600, which I got at the BCBG outlet in Orlando for $60 because it had a broken zipper. My white vest is from H&M and the navy quilted chain strap bag was thrifted for $5. Not sure what I am doing in these pictures other than posing like an ad against child sex slavery? ha.

Turns out Fashion’s Night Out Florida|Delray should’ve stayed in. To say it was underwhelming would be a stretch; there is basically no fashion community in Delray Beach and it bums me out. Yes, I could have driven down to Miami but I have to work today and yes, technically, I could have flown to NY for fashion week, but again I have to work. Regardless of proximity, I just wish there were more outlets, events, etc. for fashion where I live. Every Boca housewife opens up a boutique here carrying the same overpriced brands and claim they are having a FNO party that is really nothing more then an empty store with no champagne that will be closed in a year {you know who you are, hopefully}. If I have to see another tie-dye maxi dress that costs $350 I will scream.

Okay, enough venting.

The highlight of my FNO evening, other than $5 martinis at Sundy House, was hitting up my favorite consignment shop Kismet {note the rows of jewelry in the photo above}. They have a ton of designer clothing and accessories for a fraction of the retail cost, you should check it out if you are ever in Delray, and of course contact me to meet you there. I am going to do another post on the great shops to check out for fashion in Delray {the few that exist} in a later post. Ta ta for now…
