Today marks the launch of Nicole Richie’s Collection for Macy’s Impluse. With all items ranging from $49-149 I figured everything would look like a less expensive alternative to her Winter Kate line, visualizing: boho chic, hippie patterns and a hint of edge. Turns out I was right. Some of the items are a bit pattern-heavy for my tastes but I love how she incorporated faux-leather into many of the items. Nicole is a girl after my own heart by providing every piece in XS {but, she is a waif so she gets it}. I hate when department stores only provide Small, Med and Large – not everyone fits into those categories you know? Here are my faves from the collection…of course every piece I love is leather and “zombie black”.

I love the studded detailing on this dress and the back has a cut out. Enough said.
Faux-fur & faux-leather, what’s not to love?
More of the same (leather & black). I would prob need to shorten the sleeves, but it could work.
Love it – especially the idea to modify the sleeves! What are you thinking for the faux leather jacket for this fall?
Thanks, I think the sleeves will be way too long for me since I usually wear petite but luckily I have a great tailor! For the jacket I am thinking of pairing it with a vneck plain white tee and leather leggings with boots. What do you think?
I’m currently on the hunt for a great, but not break the bank, leather jacket. Think it’s a must this season to dress up or down.
